Creating a Future for Children’s Clothing

Developing a custom Shopify theme and launching an e-commerce store that drive conversions.

About Our Client

Smaller Things are all about making a bigger impact through small things. Their clothing is based on a philosophy of organic certified cotton, recyclable fibers, and above all, ethical manufacturing. Their simplistic and minimalistic approach towards the pockets & time is an ideal go-to solution for many parenting problems.

The Problem

To start selling their products, Smaller Things needed a robust online platform that could facilitate business growth and expansion in the future. Smaller Things was looking for a talented and savvy development team to help bring their creative designs to life. They needed help and guidance in choosing the right e-commerce platform to launch their business.

The Challenge

Recommend the right e-commerce platform, provide guidance and training, and develop a custom theme. Picking the wrong online platform for an online store can cost a lot of money in the long run. This is because the platform and host a business chooses ultimately affect its level of control over its online business, including the website's responsiveness, structure, speed, customer service, and security.

Smaller Things wanted to ensure that their online presence could deliver an excellent digital experience for customers, equivalent to an in-store fitting, particularly amid the coronavirus outbreak when the demand for online shopping was rapidly increasing.

The Solution and Outcome

Working alongside Smaller Things and their team, we nailed down specific details on key features the online shop needed to provide and what would have offered the best experience for customers. After careful deliberation, analyzing many e-commerce platforms, and a complete inventory of the client's current and future needs, we chose Shopify as the most suitable option for Smaller Things.

Shopify made managing inventory easy for their team, and the managed shipping options and rates simplified the process, saving their staff time. With Shopify's API functionality, the Smaller Things website could easily integrate with many other technologies, like a POS system, to help advance its customer and marketing experience. Our developers and other professionals collaborated with their designers to create a fresh, modern, fully responsive, and integrated e-commerce solution.

Shopify Theme Features

Easy To Build Pages

By leveraging Shopify's block system and features, we built a responsive theme with customizable sections providing clients with the flexibility or updating their site with new information and designs.

Capsule Wardrobe

To allow customers to mix and match products, we've built the Capsule Wardrobe, allowing them to view different products and pair them with each other all on the same screen.

Customized Filtering

To help customers find their way around, we've added support for extra data filtering for products. This gave Smaller Things more control over categorizing and tagging their products.

"Tony and the team continuously deliver the solutions we needed for our business. They were able to execute our beautiful and interactive website within our budget and timeline. Having a deep knowledge of Shopify, they helped onboard our team and show us inside our virtual store. They did a phenomenal job in breaking down technical steps such that our non-technical team can easily operate and manage the site. They produced comprehensive instructional videos and answered all our questions. Moreover, I’ve leaned on their expertise to help advise our digital needs outside of just our site. It’s a breath of fresh air to have a partner that can advise in and around services for eCom and digital marketing."
